As more millennials than ever become first-time homebuyers, they’re calling on experienced real estate professionals to guide them through the process, an area in which Tuy Dewey Luong shines. A millennial himself, Luong understands the preferences and priorities of the age group and is passionate about helping young adults become homeowners.
After graduating from Georgia State University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in risk management, Luong began his corporate career with Bank of America in North Carolina. He returned to Georgia State in 2011 to earn his master’s in accounting and went on to work with other major corporations doing financial fraud investigation and cybersecurity.
Real estate became a passion for Luong after he purchased his first home. He built his business entirely on referrals and word-of-mouth, applying a client-for-life principle to every relationship. Instead of spending money on upfront advertising, Luong focuses his energy on “post-marketing,” nurturing existing relationships to assure clients he is their trusted and lifelong real estate partner. Using this strategy, he has slowly but surely built up his customer base, which is composed mainly of millennials and young professionals.
In 2014, Luong founded Simply Homes, a dynamic team that’s gradually expanded into other real estate sectors, including commercial. Simply Homes agents have sold everything from homes and poultry farms to shopping centers, restaurants and liquor stores. While Luong is based out of Suwanee, his team is scattered throughout metro Atlanta, covering Flowery Branch to Peachtree City.
When not helping clients find their dream home, Luong enjoys doing home renovations and spending time with his wife and their son and daughter.
