Rookie of the Year: Katy Sudlow, Engel & Völkers Atlanta

by

Nowadays, it’s rare to find a true Atlanta native in the city but for Katy Sudlow, it’s all she knows. Growing up in Buckhead, Katy has always been proud to call Atlanta her home. After attending Pace Academy & Vanderbilt University where she received her Bachelor’s in Education and Spanish, she taught kindergarten until she made the decision to stay home and raise her children. While doing so, she held various sales jobs and eventually established her own successful catering company.

In 2018, Katy became an Advisor for Engel & Völkers Atlanta where she worked closely with Ashley Battleson Real Estate, assisting in the sale of new construction homes in North Buckhead. By 2019, Ashley Battleson Real Estate recorded over $40 million in pending and sold properties.

“I am incredibly honored and grateful to be named Rookie of the Year,” she says. “At 42 years old, I took a risk and decided to enter the world of real estate and joined Engel & Völkers Atlanta with encouragement from my dear friend and mentor Ashley Battleson. This decision has been one of the greatest I have ever made. I absolutely love everything about this industry and feel like I am finally doing exactly what I was meant to do. I am incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and support from my family, friends and clients.”

When not working, Katy is fully indulged in her family activities, currently residing in Sandy Springs with her husband and two children, Maddy and Byrnes. Staying active in her community, you can likely find her entertaining friends and family at her home, playing tennis and volunteering at her children’s school and with Young Life Northwest Atlanta.
