Green Brick Partners acquires 6,000 homesites in Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth

by John Yellig

Plano, Texas-based homebuilder and land developer Green Brick Partners Inc. acquired 10 communities in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Atlanta markets. Altogether, the projects represent the development of more than 6,000 homes.

The Atlanta-area communities are in Alpharetta and Sugar Hill, while the Texas projects are in Frisco, Allen, McKinney, Forney, Princeton, Grand Prairie and Waxahachie.

In all, the acquisition covers more than 5,700 homesites in Texas and more than 300 in Georgia, the company said in a press release.

“We are working quickly to remedy the low supply of new homes in our core markets,” COO and Executive Vice President Jed Dolson said. “We believe that our proven ability to create an exceptional lot pipeline is a strategic advantage in a market like this where lots are in very low supply.”

The neighborhoods will be developed by Green Brick subsidiary builders Trophy Signature Homes, CB JENI Homes, Southgate Homes, Centre Living homes and Normandy Homes in Texas and The Providence Group in Georgia.
