SR Homes has opened a decorated Brooklyn model home at its new Chimney Creek community in Cumming.

Single-family homes in the swim-and-tennis community begin in the $500,000s and include one-story ranches and two-story residences. The residences include “timeless architecture” and bright, open-concept layouts ranging from 2,045 to 3,163 square feet with three to five bedrooms and two to four baths, according to a press release.

The Brooklyn model home is a newly designed ranch plan with 2,908 square feet encompassing four bedrooms, three baths and a two-car garage. The home is an update on the traditional ranch with stairs to a fourth bedroom, a third full bath and flexible loft space. Like many Chimney Creek homes, the Brooklyn model home is built on an unfinished basement, offering room for future expansion.

The Brooklyn includes an exterior fireplace, an upgraded laundry room with cabinets and a utility sink, a butler’s pantry in the kitchen, exposed beams in the dining area and built-ins and coffered ceilings in the great room. Brooklyn-plan buyers can convert the upper loft space into a fifth bedroom with a fourth full bath.

Chimney Creek covers more than 85 acres in west Forsyth County. The community’s amenities include a swimming pool, a cabana and lighted tennis and pickleball courts. Children living in Chimney Creek, which is located at 4490 Pisgah Road, will attend West Forsyth High, Liberty Middle and Poole’s Mill Elementary.

SR Homes has other communities under development in Clarke, Cherokee, Forsyth and Oconee counties.
