Richmond, Virginia-based McCann Realty Partners recently acquired two suburban Atlanta garden-apartment communities with a combined 444 units.

Financial details were not disclosed.

One community, Five Oaks, is located at 1200 Montreal Road in Tucker and includes 280 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The property’s three- and four-story buildings are spread out over 11 acres, and community amenities include a resort-style swimming pool, outdoor grilling station and club room.

The other asset, Hawthorne Gates, is located at 7200 Peachtree Dunwoody Road in Fulton County and offers 164 units. The community’s three- and four-story buildings are situated on nine acres. Community amenities include detached garages, a swimming pool, fitness center, tennis courts and dog park.

McCann plans to make capital improvements to the communities’ unit interiors and exteriors, as well as amenities. McCann’s property-management company, Pegasus Residential in Alpharetta, will manage the properties.

“We are excited to acquire additional assets in the Atlanta market,” McCann President Matt Akin said in a press release. “These two assets are very well located and in close-in submarkets that show strong fundamentals for growth. Each investment presents a unique opportunity for McCann and Pegasus to improve operations that will enhance the living experience of our residents.”
