A new intown enclave community from the National Community Reinvestment Coalition homeownership initiative is coming online in East Atlanta.

Highlands of Decatur will bring 46 homes to Flat Shoals Road between Gresham Park and Panthersville. The 14-acre pocket neighborhood will offer five floorplans featuring granite or quartz countertops, tile backsplashes and 42-inch Shaker kitchen cabinets:

  • The Candler: Four bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, 2,612 square feet with covered porch and second-floor laundry room.
  • The Gresham: Four bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, 2,337 square feet with office and first-floor laundry room.
  • The Highland: Four bedrooms, four bathrooms, 2,311 square feet with two-story foyer and first-floor master bedroom.
  • The Madison: Four bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, 2,612 square feet with formal dining room and second-floor loft.
  • The Peachtree: Five bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, 2,688 square feet with mudroom entrance and second-floor game room.

“Highlands at Decatur reflects an opportunity for homeownership with an emphasis on high-quality finishes and beautiful use of the land we’ve spent over three years helping to develop,” said Ed Gorman, managing director of GROWTH by the NCRC, which seeks to promote homeownership for low-to-moderate-income families. “Homeowners will love both the convenience and the beauty of the homes and the neighborhood itself, and we couldn’t be happier with the result.”
