Ohio-based homebuilder Epcon continues Atlanta expansion with two hires

by John Yellig

Ohio-based homebuilder Epcon Communities announced two Atlanta hires as it continues to expand its local operations in the 55-plus segment: Steve Karp and Lora Golliday-Gonzales.

Karp, a former Davidson Homes purchasing manager, joined the company as regional purchasing manager, and former Beazer Homes sales manager Golliday-Gonzales joined as regional sales manager. Both hires took place in February.

Before joining Marietta-based Davidson Homes, Karp worked at Minerva USA, Ashton Woods Homes and PulteGroup.

Golliday-Gonzales is a licensed Realtor in Georgia and has more than 25 years of real estate experience, including property management, multifamily and single-family construction.

Epcon, which operates a homebuilding franchise company with more than 80 builders in 24 states, is currently developing two Atlanta-area communities: the Courtyards of Franklin Goldmine in Cumming and the Courtyards at Bailey Farm in Dacula.

In May 2022, Epcon announced it was entering the Atlanta market and currently runs its local operations from its new corporate office in Alpharetta.
