RangeWater adds director of design, promotes senior managing director

by John Yellig

Atlanta-based rental housing company RangeWater Real Estate continues to beef up its ranks, with the hiring of veteran interior designer Kori Korczyk as director of design and the promotion of Patrick Burke to senior managing director of property management, build-to-rent.

In her new role, Korczyk will manage RangeWater’s interior design team and develop marketing strategies as the company offers interior-design services to clients as a third-party provider. She’ll also contribute to multiple projects, touching on all aspects of design and renovation, work with senior directors and project managers daily, and oversee the design work of others.

Burke, meanwhile, will oversee RangeWater’s national BTR platform, including not only the firm’s owned portfolio under the Storia brand, but also all its third-party management assignments. A 13-year veteran of RangeWater, Burke’s most-recent position was senior director of asset management.

A graduate of West Virginia University, Korczyk most recently worked as a project manager/senior interior designer at CID Design Group, where she managed large-scale, multifaceted, long-term projects from inception to completion.

“Kori brings her distinctive design talent and commitment to RangeWater’s design team,” Executive Managing Director of Property Management for Real Estate Sherry Freitas said. “As we continue to grow our firm’s in-house interior design offering, we’re excited to have Kori join our team of visionary designers who continue to elevate and bring forward-thinking design ideas to our communities.”

Burke is a graduate of Florida State University and holds a Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management.

“We are thrilled to welcome Patrick back to RangeWater’s Property Management division,” Freitas said. “His deep understanding of asset management principles and market dynamics coupled with his innate knowledge of RangeWater’s culture makes this decision a win-win.”
