Jim Chapman Construction Group has started horizontal development of The Cottages at Battlefield Crossing build-to-rent community in Fort Oglethorpe.

The 41-acre project will bring 244 attached townhomes to the intersection of Dietz Road and Battlefield Parkway. The homes will be built using Jim Chapman’s RanchCottagesForRent Concept and come in five floorplans: Frisco, Fresno, Richmond, Reno and Tucson. Units will range from 1,020 to 1,466 square feet.

Residences will offer luxury-vinyl tile flooring, granite countertops, stainless-steel appliances and washer and dryer sets, as well as one- or two-car garages. Community amenities will include a 4,000-square-foot clubhouse, swimming pool, fitness center, 24-hour emergency maintenance and a gated entrance.

“We are proud to start working on The Cottages at Battlefield Crossing,” President Jim Chapman said in a press release. “We are creating communities that are safe, healthy and attractive. Our experience in the BTR space allows us to provide a reliable turnkey solution.”
