Portman acquired the land to develop Meadow Glen Village, a 332-apartment mid-rise community with retail and green space in Fairburn.

The national developer noted that the greenfield, suburban project represents a relatively new direction in terms of its development strategy.

“Historically, Portman has been more focused on infill, urban markets for residential projects,” said Harvey Wadsworth, Portman’s managing director for residential. “This closing represents our current strategy of quality suburban development, highlighting our team’s ability to react and adapt to market cycles. We look forward to bringing our proven approach of delivering premier suburban mixed-use experiences to this community.”

Meadow Glen Village will offer a variety of floor plans across nine buildings, as well as a town green that will be flanked by two 6,000-square-foot retail buildings with food and beverage concepts and service retailers. Portman expects to open it in June 2027.
