Wood Partners recently broke ground on Alta Newnan Crossing, a multifamily community that will bring 274 apartments, seven townhomes and 7,700 square feet of retail space to the Atlanta suburb of Newnan.  

Alta Newnan offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, as well as seven townhomes with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and two-car garages. Community amenities include a clubhouse, fitness room, package room, co-working space, retail courtyard and resort-style pool. Alta Newnan is connected to Newnan’s path system, LINC Trail. 

“Alta Newnan Crossing is designed to bring a new level of residential living to Newnan through a thoughtful mix of housing, amenities and connectivity,” said Bennett Sands, Wood Partners’ executive managing director. “This community will complement the way residents want to live today while bringing much-needed housing to this growing city.” 

Alta Newnan, Wood Partners’ second development in Newnan, is expected to open in fall 2027. Wood Partners completed Alta Ashley Park, a 269-apartment community, in June 2023.
