David Weekley Homes is set to open its fifth 55-plus Atlanta-area community late this fall with the debut of Wade Farm in McDonough.
Work on the 156-acre, 318-home community — David Weekley’s first in McDonough — is underway. Homes will come from the builder’s Encore product line with prices starting in the mid-$300,000s. Two model homes will be open for tours when sales start.
Amenities in the gated community will include a pool, pickleball and bocce ball courts, dog parks and a walking trail system. There will also be a clubhouse for social gatherings and a lifestyle director to plan events and activities.
“We love to make our debut in new cities while expanding our reach to homebuyers who might not be familiar with David Weekley Homes,” Atlanta Division President Adam Cornett said. “Steeped in history, McDonough is the quintessential Southern town. Our land team made an amazing find with this site. We are so excited to be here, and we have faith that our active-adult homebuyers will feel the same way.”
David Weekley’s other Atlanta-area Encore communities include Lanier Landing in Gainesville, Crescent Pointe at Great Sky in Canton, Maple Grove at Towne Lake in Woodstock and Old Mill Preserve in Dallas.
