Crescent Communities opened its latest NOVEL-branded community in the Atlanta metro with the recent launch of NOVEL Douglasville in The Trails mixed-use district in Douglasville. 

The project will bring 300 apartments to The Trails, which also includes Great Point Studio’s 500,000-square-foot film studio anchored by Lionsgate. The community, which comprises five four-story buildings on 13 acres of The Trails, is connected by walking paths to 60,000 square feet of commercial, office, hotel and retail components. 

Currently in lease-up, NOVEL Douglasville offers a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Amenities include a resort-style pool and sundecks; a pond overlook with grills, firepit and Adirondack-style seating; event and game lawn; clubroom with a TV, seating, full kitchen and covered porch with outdoor fireplace; coffee cafe and coworking space; fitness center; and pet amenities.   

“The opening of NOVEL Douglasville marks another standout addition to Crescent Communities’ Atlanta portfolio,” said Eric Liebendorfer, Crescent’s managing director for Georgia. “As the city continues to grow and expand rapidly, we’re developing alongside it, with a footprint in Atlanta proper and across many of its suburbs.”   

Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Crescent is actively developing apartment communities across the Atlanta area. These include the recently opened HARMON Cedar Run in Lawrenceville; West Midtown’s NOVEL Blandtown, which is under construction; NOVEL Lulah Hills, which recently broke ground in Decatur; and NOVEL Tucker, formerly RENDER Tucker. 

Crescent also owns MAA West Midtown, Tailor O4W in Old Fourth Ward, Glenn Perimeter in Sandy Springs and Bell Terminus in Buckhead.  

Crescent’s financial partners on NOVEL Douglasville include CIBC, Great Southern Bank and Phoenix Capital Management. Crescent Communities Construction served as the general contractor.
