Traton Homes’ Development Success

by Chris Smith

Traton Homes development, Montgomery Park opened in 2013 and two-thirds of the community has since been sold. Montgomery Park features 45 single-family homes in Marietta, Georgia. The development was designed with the residents in mind and offers luxurious amenities to give each home a one-of-a-kind look and feel.

Likewise, Traton Homes’ Great Oaks Estates community features 22 homes with only four left to sell. Each home is complete with carriage-style garage doors and a landscaped front, side and back yard. The bathrooms and kitchens are state-of-the-art, with granite countertops, maple cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. Finished media rooms and other upscale details, such as nine-foot ceilings and iron balusters are also included in each home.

Traton Homes has more than 40 years of experience as a homebuilder in Atlanta and surrounding suburbs. Founded by Bill and Milburn Poston in 1971, the company strives to give its residents better architecture, unique features and a more enjoyable lifestyle. Traton has been presented with the GuildMaster Award for exemplary customer service six times along with multiple OBIE awards given by the Greater Atlanta Homebuilder’s Association. The latter is one of the most prestigious distinctions that a homebuilder can receive in Atlanta.

Traton Homes’ Standards

Traton Homes ensures excellent customer service and prides itself on homes that are timeless. It is important for the company to create homes that last, because according to Traton Homes, that is the first step in creating family enjoyment for generations ahead. The company, which was formed on strong family principles, it says, has raised the bar when it comes to value, commitment and quality. Its customers are placed at the forefront of the business, because without them, the homebuilder would not be where it is today.

In all of its developments, Traton Homes presents multiple floor plans to meet individual desires. Each Montgomery Park home has its own custom landscape plan and architectural finishes designed by Roger Caldwell. The designs provide warmth and curb appeal to the development. Custom floor plans include detailed interior features like hardwood floors, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and crown moldings.

Roger Caldwell is from the award-winning firm since 2001, Caldwell Cline Architects and Designers. The firm works with the same goal in mind for each project, no matter the complexity of it: to create a timeless design that is unique to each client and representative of their personal needs. The company’s philosophy includes working closely with each client to “capture the desired architectural character.” “Classic architecture, inspired by the vision of our clients” is the company’s tagline. Given its current success in sales, there is no doubt that this motto was instilled during the process of designing Montgomery Park.

Traton Homes is also known for placing its developments in communities that offer more than just living space. Montgomery Park sits in a prime location for families. The development is a short distance from major business districts and the Historic Marietta Square. The community offers popular restaurants, shops, concerts and festivals. The development is also located within the Marietta School District. West Side Elementary, Marietta 6th Grade Academy, Marietta Middle and Marietta High are among the award winning schools in the district. The city isn’t just well suited for families with children, however. Money Magazine named Marietta in 2011 as one of the top 25 Best Places to Retire.

Similarly, Tradition at Rosewell, another Traton community is nearby excellent schools, both public and private, including Mountain Park Elementary, a 2013 National Blue Ribbon School. Traton recently opened sales for Tradition at Rosewell, located in Rosewell, Georgia. This community features 14 new homes starting in the mid $500,000 range. In addition to a tight-knit community with plenty of recreational and cultural events throughout the year, the development is located amongst an abundance of parks, providing plenty of open space to residents.

Traton Homes currently has about 20 developments in Atlanta and surrounding suburbs. One quarter of these communities are either sold out or offering final opportunities for purchase. Traton has built its success on customer service, quality and creating homes that last.
