Agent Snapshot: Patty Peck, Realtor, Atlanta Communities, Greater Atlanta

url

Patty Peck is a Realtor with Atlanta Communities.

What was your first job in the realty industry? I was an assistant for an agent in a different city which created my interest.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in Atlanta…there are a few of us natives left!

Growing up, what did you want to be? I always wanted to be a teacher, which then evolved into not having a clue! I finally found my calling as a Realtor!

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? If I’m feeling stressed or blue I like to play with my grandchildren, they remind me of what’s important.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Robin Williams because I could see his enormous heart through his eyes. I also love to laugh and he would surely make me laugh!

Where is your favorite place to hang out? I enjoy hanging out at home either with my husband, or with family & friends when hosting parties.

What do you love most about the industry? I get to help people with an important purchase and almost all of my clients become my friends.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I build relationships rather than considering it just a business. My tag line is: You walk in with a Realtor, you walk out with a friend for life.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? It’s hard to see an excited client lose a home due to a bad inspection, or not winning in a multiple offer situation. It’s not easy getting a termination for a seller either. It’s easier for me to say there is a reason it happened rather than them realize it while they are going through it.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? I mostly network with past clients via pop-by’s, e-mail, client appreciation parties and lunches. It’s fun because they are my friends!

What has been your greatest accomplishment? Hands down raising my son. He’s a special person all the way around and both an amazing husband & dad.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? “The Good Dinosaur”…it was the first movie with our granddaughter Penelope. It wasn’t just fun taking her, it was also a good story.

What is your favorite restaurant? That’s a trick question!

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Atlanta? The Fox Theatre wins inside and out!

What kind of car do you drive? I drive a mini van! I can carry several people, I sit higher than most cars and I can fit anything I need to in there! (Stow n’ go seats rock!)

Smartphone or paper? Smartphone…I’m addicted and it works for me.

What is your favorite city after Atlanta? Most any city in Florida! I’m not sure I want to live there but I love to visit!

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Be confident, seek advice and always do the right thing.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? eKey because I don’t need a separate device to open a lockbox. I know I will always have my phone with me!

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? I don’t pay attention to Twitter.

Patty is the happiest and most ethical person I know. She is our friend first and our realtor second. She has made the home-buying process easy and fun.
