Woodfield Development delivered the first 25 townhomes at Woodrow House, a 325-residence mixed-use, mixed-income community rising on the Beltline’s Westside Trail.
The opening of the build-to-rent townhomes represents the first phase of the highly anticipated West End development. Deliveries of the remaining 300 townhomes, apartments and live-work residences will come in phases over coming months, with the full community expected to open before the end of the year.
Located at 840 Woodrow St. SW, Woodrow House will offer 66 affordable and workforce housing units, alongside more than 12,000 square feet of commercial space for local entrepreneurs, including shipping-container storefronts for startups and small businesses.
An existing building on the property is being adaptively reused as the headquarters and workforce-training facility for a local coffee roaster that aims to hire from the local area.
“Beginning residential deliveries is an exciting milestone because it marks the transition from construction to community,” Woodfield Director of Development Brett Bowden said. “Woodrow House was designed to expand housing opportunities while embracing everything that makes the West End unique, from its rich history and culture to its connectivity along the Beltline. We’re excited to begin opening the community and look forward to seeing it continue to come to life over the months ahead.”
The first group of two-story townhomes comes in three- and four-bedroom floor plans with open-concept living areas, attached private garages and private outdoor living spaces. Community amenities include a resort-style pool, fitness center, coworking spaces, pet amenities and landscaped gathering areas. Future phases will bring online a podcast studio, club lounge and sky deck.
