Making Moves

The acquisition is the first by Grand Oak, a holding company formed to acquire and manage small builders across the U.S.

Board member Stephen Joyce will serve as interim CEO as the company conducts a search for a permanent replacement.

The brokerage, ERA Foster & Bond, is led by qualifying broker and owner Rusty Willis and associate broker and owner David Wrenn, who co-founded Capital City Realty in 2010.

Since 2020, the firm has brought on more than 20 agents with a range of REALTOR® experience.

In his new role, Andrew Wilson will be responsible for business development of advisory services, helping clients grow their businesses and providing data-driven housing-market solutions to the local homebuilding and multifamily residential industry.

The company plans to continue to add staff as more homeowners who are ready to move decide to keep their homes as investment properties.

Ivy League Realty was founded in 2019 by Ivy Sears and has a second office in LaGrange.

Chris Burell and Alex Page have joined Compass, as the managing director of Compass Georgia and the regional senior luxury marketing lead for Compass Atlanta, respectively.

In his expanded role, the executive will oversee Newmark’s strategic management of commercial real estate services throughout the Southeast, including Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee, as well as Atlanta, according to a press release.

The agents have been in the real estate business for over 20 years each and bring a “robust” book of business to the company, RE/MAX Around Atlanta said.
