While her father was a home builder and her mother a successful real estate agent, Karyn Hammond never pictured herself following in their footsteps. But after helping her mother in the office during her teens and studying marketing in college, Hammond started working on the administrative side at her current brokerage, Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty. “From accounting to marketing and then as office manager, I learned the back end of the business first before ever selling,” she explains. “After five years in those positions, I took a leap of faith and began my full-time career in real estate.”

Born and raised in the metro Atlanta area, Hammond grew up in Gwinnett County, attended Georgia State University and has lived in Lawrenceville, Midtown, Buckhead, Decatur, Sandy Springs, Athens and Dunwoody. “My business is almost 100% referral based so I go where my clients need me, which is most of the Metro Atlanta area,” she says.

Described as patient, organized, professional and detail oriented, Hammond was named a 2022 Atlanta Realtors Association Top Producer and listed in the Top 10% Individual Volume Sold and Top 10% Individual Homes Sold. “I focus on quality over quantity,” she admits. “I care about the properties, but I try to focus on the client first and foremost.”

Hammond loves to travel, spend time with friends and family, explore new restaurants and hang out with her 13-year-old son and two rescue dogs. “As a single mother at age 20, I grew up quickly, developed a lot of grit and learned how to do what needs to be done,” she shares. “I am fortunate to have created a beautiful life for me and my son. He is my ‘why’ and I will never stop working hard in order to provide for him.”
