Sit out on my deck with a glass of wine.

Miami, Florida.

Growing up, what did you want to be?
A teacher.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Martin Luther King – his relentless spirit; his tenacity in the midst of adversity; his Faith in God; and his love for his family.

Where is your favorite place to hang out?
The mountains.

What do you love most about the industry?
Meeting new families and helping them achieve the American Dream.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I possess an innate ability to discover my clients “value” place, meaning, the place in their mind that, once discovered, will enable then to find “THE” place – not just any place.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Trying to keep everyone happy and in-sync with the process of investing in real estate.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients?
Dinner parties are the best for networking.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
Raising my only child and watching him graduate from the USAF.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read?
“The Book Thief.”

What is your favorite restaurant?
I don’t really have one. I love all kinds of food. It depends on when, where and with who.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Atlanta?
I love the bank of America Plaza – the height, color and the openness on top.

What kind of car do you drive?
Volkswagon CC.

Smartphone or paper?
Both!

What is your favorite city after Atlanta?
New York.

What is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Feed the beast daily; train it before it devours you. Sip all the information like fine wine; don’t chug it like beer. Smile – it will strike up conversation. You never know where your business will come from. Never give up!

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app?
Zillow.

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter?
I don’t use it.
