Every week, we ask a real estate professional for their Short List, a collection of tips and recommendations on an essential topic in real estate. This week, we talked with Katiti Mwebe, an agent with Harry Norman, Realtors in Buckhead North and member of Atlanta Agent magazine’s 2014 ‘Who’s Who in Atlanta Real Estate,’ for her ways to manage challenging personalities in real estate.

3. Take time to center your thoughts each day – Spending quiet time before your day begins can prove to be very beneficial. Centering your thoughts in a positive direction can prepare you to deal with challenging personalities in a more effective manner.

2. Maintain control of your actions – Every action does not require you to react. If you can control your actions, you will likely have a great effect on individuals with challenging personalities.

1. Listen – Allow others to express themselves, and don’t be so eager to respond. Hear exactly what they are saying, and only attempt to address concerns after they have finished their expressions.
