deidre-saulsberry-solid-source-atlanta

Deidre Saulsberry is a luxe homes consultant with PalmerHouse Properties Realty in Atlanta

What was your first job in the realty industry? RE/MAX in Suwanee, where I worked in new business development for the K. Clarke Team.

Where did you grow up? I grew up on the south side of Atlanta off Moreland, and went to Fulton High School with Evander Holyfield.

Growing up, what did you want to be? I wanted to be an attorney and interior designer, so there you have it – I do both as a Realtor via contracts and staging homes!

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I read magazines like Atlanta Magazine, Jezible, Atlanta Homes and Architectural Digest.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Madame C.J. Walker. I’d be curious about her thoughts on African-American haircare and the ironic evolution of today. We went from natural to chemical straighteners and back to natural.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? Twist (for their sweet potato pie), downtown Atlanta and Stone Mountain.

What do you love most about the industry? I love sellers mostly, along with showing and previewing beautiful abodes; the design element of before and after a rehab is my favorite!

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I can always be reached at any time! If you let me price it right, it is under contract in less than two weeks! Seriously!

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Miscellaneous paperwork and reports.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? High-end restaurants, hotel mixers, Barnes & Noble and Phipps Plaza.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? Grossing my first million in volume my second year in the business.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? “Taken 3.”

What is your favorite restaurant? For a quick bite, I love Twist in Downtown Atlanta; I also love Marlow’s Tavern in Stone Mountain.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Atlanta? The Civil Rights Museum.

What kind of car do you drive? A Mercedes Benz SL500 and CLK320.

Smartphone or paper? Smart please!

What is your favorite city after Atlanta? I love Short Hills, New Jersey.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Love yourself, and people will love you and do business with you repeatedly – it’s contagious.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? I love the ones for open houses.

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? Deepak Chopra.
