Libby Manville is an agent with Atlanta Communities in Cobb County

What was your first job in the realty industry? Buyer’s agent for Sofia Welman, mainly for relocation clients.

Where did you grow up? Monticello, GA

Growing up, what did you want to be? School teacher

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Running

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? My father

Where is your favorite place to hang out? My mom’s back porch, with family

What do you love most about the industry? Finding homes for clients. I could make a lot more money if I sold sticks and stones, but I help my clients with the sale of their current home and locating their future home. Too meet with them a year later and to see how their life has changed puts a smile on my face.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? That’s my secret to only share with my clients.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? The reason the real estate business will never be taken over by the Internet is because when it comes to buying and specially selling, it is a emotional roller coaster. Handling the things that come your way can be challenging. Only experience can prepare someone.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? I keep it one on one. New clients are usually referred.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? When the real estate market took a hit, I had the pleasure of helping a few single females to navigate their way. When I meet with them years later, and they thank me for helping them short sell, or go through the foreclosure process. It touches my heart. To see where life has taken them lets me know I am doing what I should be doing.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? It’s been a while since I have seen a movie that wasn’t animated. Honestly, I like reading the Bible. Talking about a true self-help book.

What is your favorite restaurant? I love salads, so any place a good salad.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Atlanta? I helped design a home in the Atlanta Country Club, so I am a little partial to that home.

What kind of car do you drive? I paid for a car with four doors and three charge stations – there is plenty of leg room in the back.

What is your favorite city after Atlanta? Marietta

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? It’s easy to get started, hard to stay in it.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? There really are not any I could not live without, nor any that are my favorite.

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? I have more important things to do then follow someone.
