Agent Snapshot: Sarah Miller, Realtor, ARB Realty, LLC, Alpharetta

What was your first job in the realty industry? I started as a leasing agent in student housing and remained in the field of property management for 10 years.

In 2016, I obtained my real estate license and have now begun to build my new career as a salesperson.

Where did you grow up? I was born in Guam and grew up in Tampa.

Growing up, what did you want to be? I wanted to be a lawyer, but found the real estate industry instead.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I go to the gym, listen to a variety of music and pray.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? I would have lunch with Barbara Corcoran. She is a strong woman in this industry who has obtained much success. I would just want to get her feedback and motivation for being successful.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? Barnes & Noble, because I like to read and people watch.

What do you love most about the industry? I enjoy being able to help people feel confident in their decision to buy or rent a home.

I love the freedom it gives me to create my own path and to be successful on my own terms.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I will go the extra mile, I will educate my clients and I be there for my clients throughout the process and beyond. My goal is to develop a lasting relationship that makes my clients proud to refer me to their friends, family, neighbors – anyone to my business.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? You usually must make yourself available to your clients at all times. Prioritizing tasks and ensuring high standards of customer service.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? Wherever I go I will network, talk to people and meet new potential clients. I utilize marketing strategies that I learned while working in apartment management. I try to engage people with similar interests or commonalities to build trust and opportunities to tell them about my business.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? I believe my greatest accomplishment is still to come. I am proud of my success thus far but I believe the best is yet to come.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? “The Millionaire Real Estate Agent” by Gary Keller

What is your favorite restaurant? I love breakfast, so one of my favorite spots is the West Egg Cafe on Howell Mill.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Atlanta? The Westin Atlanta Peachtree Plaza Hotel

What kind of car do you drive? A Kia Optima

What is your favorite city after Atlanta? New York City

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Find a seasoned mentor to work with and educate yourself.
