What was your first job in the realty industry? I was an agent with a very small real estate company called Jackson Realty in Chamblee
Where did you grow up? Kentucky
Growing up, what did you want to be? Newspaper Editor like my father
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Shop
If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Ronald Reagan because he was truly a great President. I would like to ask him what his solutions would be to today’s problems and issues with politics.
Where is your favorite place to hang out? I rarely “hang out”, but it would be doing something with one of my grandchildren who are now adults – ages 21 and 19. I love going on cruises with them.
What do you love most about the industry? What it has enabled me to do for my grandchildren by providing them with a strong basic education when they were in elementary, at an excellent private school. They continued to thrive through high school and now even though they have scholarships to college, I can still help them in their advanced education.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? Years of Experience
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Focusing with all of the distractions – phone, texts, email.
Where do you go to network and meet new clients? Atlanta Country Club
What has been your greatest accomplishment? Celebrating my 45th anniversary in real estate. I got my license on April 23, 1973! Also, I’ve received every Phoenix award offered by the Atlanta Board. Years ago, when it was allowed I received my Phoenix award from the DeKalb Board of Realtors AND the Cobb Board of Realtors.
What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? I like reading anything that has to do with the power of the mind, and how we are responsible for creating our own reality.
What is your favorite restaurant? Houston’s and Seasons 52.
