Sarah Chatel, CEO

Chatel Group, Keller Williams Atlanta Midtown, powered by PLACE

After feeling burned out from selling technology to C-suite executives, Sarah Chatel decided to take a year off in 2010 to figure out her next career move. Ultimately, she dusted off her real estate license, rolled up her sleeves and in 2012 was named Rookie of the Year at her brokerage — all because she called on her network of former tech colleagues.

She credits her confidence and sales savvy to the years she spent in tech sales. “I’m a shark when it comes to negotiating on my clients’ behalf,” says Chatel, CEO of the Chatel Group at Keller Williams Atlanta Midtown office. “They love my directness and knowledge of design, architecture, the Atlanta real estate market and my win-win approach to working with both sides of a transaction.” Chatel stages and prepares homes to sell quickly and for the highest value — 98% of her listings sell at or above the asking price.

Chatel specializes in luxury homes, relocations and probated estates in metro Atlanta. Having lived and worked in Atlanta for 43 years, she knows the city well. The buyers and sellers she represents appreciate the time she spends with them throughout the process, asking questions and anticipating their possible concerns.

As a lifelong learner, Chatel looks for win-win solutions, guided by Stephen Covey’s book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.” She’s also a practitioner of the principles in Bob Burg’s book “The Go-Giver” and Will Guidara’s book “Unreasonable Hospitality,” as well as being a student of The Ritz-Carlton’s School of Excellence in Service. The Chatel Group believes in giving back and donates a portion of every commission to Habitat for Humanity in Atlanta. Their team has helped build 14 homes and donated over $200,000.

Selling real estate isn’t Chatel’s only talent. She co-chaired the 2023 Dancing Stars of Atlanta for Alzheimer’s Gala and raised $1.25 million — the most ever raised at that event.
