Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia names Andy Payne SVP of growth and development

by John Yellig

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties named former Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty executive Andy Payne to the newly created position of senior vice president of growth and development.

In his new role, Payne will work with Executive Vice President of Real Estate Brokerage and Qualifying Broker Todd Tucker to execute the brokerage’s overall strategy and improve the firm’s performance, growth and service quality, according to an announcement. He will also be responsible for building organizational capability through talent development, agent services and leadership programs.

“At Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties, we believe our greatest investment is always in people,” President and CEO DeAnn Golden said. “Welcoming Andy as our senior vice president of growth and development reflects our unwavering commitment to developing exceptional talent, empowering our agents and continually raising the standard of excellence across our organization.”

Payne has been in real estate for 10 years, most recently serving as vice president and managing broker at Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s. Before that, he held leadership roles at JVC and Pinnacle Systems and spent seven years in healthcare recruiting before moving into employee benefits.

“Andy’s track record speaks for itself, but what makes him the right fit for this role is how he leads: with clarity, accountability and a genuine investment in the people around him,” Tucker said. “I need someone who can turn strategy into execution without losing sight of the agents and leaders we serve. Andy does that instinctively.”

Payne also co-hosts Atlanta REALTORS® Rundown, the official podcast of the Atlanta REALTORS® Association, serves as vice chair of professional development with the Cobb Association of REALTORS® and was named a 2023 emerging leader by Atlanta REALTORS®.

“Steve Jobs famously said, ‘What’s important is that you have faith in people, that they are basically good and smart, and if you give them the tools, they’ll do wonderful things with them,’” Payne said. “I’m excited to be joining at a moment when the company is investing so heavily in cutting edge tools like Maestro and OnePoint, technologies that give agents more time back for the relationships that actually grow their business.”
