The recently opened 303-apartment community was sold for $97.5 million, according to Cobb County records.
The homes will be priced in the high $600,000s, with sales slated to begin at the end of March.
The Cottages at Southampton offers 250 townhomes.
An undisclosed Atlanta-based homebuilder purchased almost 60 acres of the 184-acre master-planned community in Gwinnett County.
The Gwinnett County developments encompass a combined 210 lots.
The company’s newest development, Alta Northerly, brings 310 units to the Atlanta suburb. Meanwhile, vice presidents Kelly Keech and Lynne Churillo are taking on the role of senior vice president of operations.
The community has 78 home sites.
The project, Blue Heron Walk, will feature just 11 homes priced in the low-$3 million range.
Full build out of the 207-home community, The Cottages at Walker Ridge, is expected by April.
The project will bring 460 apartments, over 87,000 square feet of office space and 14,500 square feet of ground-level retail to Midtown.
